“Because of my union, I was able to earn a good living, raise my children and put them all through college. Most important, because of my union, I was able to receive a kidney transplant that saved my life.”

Retired carpenter Warren Hutchinson received a kidney transplant from fellow member Alexandra Guadalupe. The two met at a 300 Hitters training session at the UBC International Training Center (ITC) in 2016 and became fast friends. Warren thanks our great union for bringing him and Alexandra together, and for being able to receive the excellent medical care that he did.

Read about Warren’s journey in an op-ed published by Crain’s New York.
