NYCDCC Endorses Marvin Holland for City Council

Posted On by

The New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters is officially endorsing Marvin Holland in the 2017 City Council Race for District 9, which includes areas of Harlem, Morningside Heights, and the Upper West Side.

We believe Marvin is a candidate who can represent all working men, women, and retirees on the issues that he has fought for so diligently in his career as the Political and Legislative Director for TWU Local 100 in New York City.  During his tenure with Local 100, he has championed the safety, security, and dignity of the transit workers he has represented, helping to advance legislation that helps working families.

We urge all members to vote on Election Day on Tuesday, February 14th, as local races are critical to ensuring good jobs with fair wages in our communities. Marvin has demonstrated a commitment to working class families and will fight to ensure protections for workers across the city.

“Marvin Holland is a dedicated union member and staffer of TWU Local 100. He has spent his entire career fighting for working class New Yorkers and will continue to do so as a member of the New York City Council. Marvin has stood by us and our membership throughout his career and we are proud to stand with him now. We are honored to support his candidacy and can think of no better person to represent the people of Harlem. “
