Brothers and Sisters,
This Monday, let us take a moment to honor those service members who have fallen in the line of duty so that we may enjoy freedom.
Many soldiers have called the New York City District Council of Carpenters home, and we are proud of all our brothers and sisters who have served our country. We are dedicated to helping our veterans when they return home, and we do so in the best ways we know how: by volunteering to build handicapped-accessible homes or by offering them the opportunity of a great career when they return from their service. We are continually seeking to strengthen our commitment to our service members by partnering with great organizations like the Jared Allen’s Homes For Wounded Warriors and Helmets to Hardhats. This Memorial Day, we remember all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our liberty.
This weekend we honor the lives of those who have made America the land of the free and the home of the brave.
