Happy Veterans Day

11.11.2020 L Boudreau

Brothers and Sisters,

On Veterans Day we celebrate and honor America’s military veterans for their willingness to serve and sacrifice, so that we can have our freedoms, and for stepping into the line of duty knowing that there was a chance they may not return. That allegiance to their fellow American citizen is deeply humbling.

On behalf of the New York City District Council of Carpenters, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to every veteran. Your bravery and selflessness do not go unrecognized and we owe you a tremendous amount of gratitude not just today, but every day, for representing our nation in peace and in war. I urge everyone to keep all the men and women currently in uniform in your prayers, and all our dearly departed veterans in your thoughts. I also encourage you to reach out to a union brother or sister who is a veteran and thank them. Stay safe and God bless.

In Solidarity,
Joseph Geiger
Executive Secretary-Treasurer
