COVID-19 Safety Measures and Guidelines for Working in the Field

On March 19, 2020, NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an Executive Order deeming construction essential during the COVID-19 State of Emergency. This also includes healthcare workers, police officers, and fire fighters. Then, on March 20, 2020, Governor Cuomo also signed the ‘New York State on Pause’, which required all non-essential to work from home. Still, construction was deemed essential. During this time, please take every precaution to follow the COVID-19 Safety Measures and Guidelines below:

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines:

  • Before coming into work take your temperature
  • If there is a fever don’t come in
  • If you feel ill at work, take your temperature
  • If your temperature spikes while at work, go home

COVID-19 Safety Measures:

  • Limit contact and socially distance
  • Wear gloves while working
  • Wash hands and sanitize frequently
  • Do not share tools

Be aware of COVID-19 symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath
