Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors’ 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

On August 9, 2019, the District Council hosted its 5th annual charity golf tournament to sponsor Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW). The District Council raised over $325,000 for the organization which works to build and remodel handicap accessible homes for injured U.S. military veterans. The tournament was held at Crystal Springs Resort in New Jersey and received a great turnout of supporters.

Over the past 4 years, the District Council charity donated $675,000 to JAH4WW through its ongoing partnership. With this year’s efforts, the total amount of funds raised has hit over $1 million dollars.

“Our partnership with the Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors continues to grow each year as we want the chance to recognize the extraordinary men and women who put their lives on the line for us,” stated Joseph Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters. “We strive to support the Jared Allen’s Home for Wounded Warriors in every way we can to welcome these soldiers home whether that’s through donations we receive at this tournament or through our ongoing efforts to bring specialized homes to military veterans and their families when they return back to their hometowns.”
