$2.40 Increase Confirmed in the BCA and WCC Contracts

Posted On by

The leadership of the New York City District Council of Carpenters successfully negotiated a one-year extension of the Building Contractors Association (BCA) contract. The extension takes that contract out to June 30, 2017. As a result, there will be a $2.40 an hour increase under the BCA contract effective July 1, 2016. This is in line with the Association of Wall-Ceiling and Carpentry Industries of NY (Wall-Ceiling) contract, which will expire by its term June 30, 2017. The Wall-Ceiling raise is also $2.40 per hour effective July 1, 2016.

These negotiations, though onerous, prove that we are our strongest when we stick together and adapt to the ever-changing market. The New York City market may be tough but the NYCDCC is tougher. We build this city and will continue to be the leaders of our industry and our trade.
