Dear Brother/Sister:
Enclosed is the journey level course schedule that will commence September 2012. Members interested in participating in a class are asked to call the Labor Technical College at 212-727-2224 to register. Due to the demand in training for 2012-2013, the majority of courses will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, adding additional classes through the school year to meet building industry demands.
Approximately three weeks before the course commences, you will receive Text/E-mail/Voice Message notifying you of your course start date. Once you receive notification you must respond in the proper time frame to hold your place.
Please do not sign up for courses that you feel you will not participate in. Please limit yourself to signing up for no more than two (2) courses at a time. You must be a member in good standing of the New York City District Council of Carpenters. You will not be scheduled for any class if you are in suspended status with your local. You will be required to show proof of good standing on the first day of class.
All 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices are eligible to enroll in a journey level course along with their regularly scheduled apprenticeship courses. There will be no apprenticeship credit given for journey level training.
Minimum enrollment - each year the cost of training increases. To insure that the membership’s funds are used prudently, the Labor Technical College has identified a minimum number of participants for each scheduled class. No class will commence unless these minimum numbers are reached.

The last page of this booklet can be used to fill out your contact information for electronic notification. We will not be mailing out class notification any longer.
