Charles Johnson, Jr. Memorial Scholarship applications should be requested from the Fund Office, by the first week in September of your senior year in high school. All applications must be received back in the Fund Office by mid-November of your senior year in high school or you will not be considered for this competition.

Remember to request the release of your (Scholastic Assessment Test) SAT scores before the end of October of your senior year in high school to Code #0028 when completing the reports to Colleges and Scholarship Sponsors Section of your SAT Registration Form.

Up to thirty-five 4-year Scholarships of up to $3,500.00 per year are available.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who plan to enter college in September following their senior year in high school.

This competition is limited to the sons and daughters of eligible members who work for employers who are obligated to contribute to the Welfare Fund for the Scholarship Benefit.

Application forms, with the rules of eligibility and detailed instructions, are available at the Fund Office in late August and early September.
